Vaccinations are not from the earth. I am aware of the arguments for vaccinations and some are valid. But, I will not be MANDATED what to put in my body. Especially if it comes from pharmaceutical companies that are making a killing off of that flu shot every year and lobbying congress for additional big pharma mandates.

- The day that David Rockefeller bought the whole farm was the same as the day that a plant could save the whole world was hung by a petroleum noose. The saboteurs did a great job on burying this one. We all know the process equals profits and the solution is not an option. We all know the process equals profits and better living through science is a lie. A psychoactive compound serves as a rallying cry for a culture that denies an obvious saving grace. A plant that will save the world. (And the irony is) The Patriots that burn the bush don't even know their own smoke driven past.

Only 500 miles away. Revolutionary dreams are not some child-hood fantasy these kids treat us like family. The scene is tied together with mosquito infested swamps and is united by the currents and tides. I commend this community for their inclusivity. We all need inspiration and to remember why we travel across the land. From the 165 to the tight house, we all know this peninsula can't drown in the sand.
Explanation: Obviously, friends made this book possible. We meet so many people in this community and I love it when some of them get stuck in your heart. When they become much more than tour acquaintances. If you have ever had this experience you know what I am talking about. And I hope you have because it’s a huge reason that I play punk rock music. I get to meet people like Wes Seefried. He is from DeLand. He and a few others, namely, Nathan Walters, are trying to make DeLand a great place to live. It’s a tiny town that doesn’t do many shows and hasn’t really ever had any. Yet, their shows are normally pretty big and “skate through a tower of beer cans” type of fun; some of the most memorable shows of my life. But, that is not the only reason why I love those two or why I wrote this song. This song is also about people like Matt in Tampa. He plays in Criminal Culture and Expressways. He does a lot for his town like working all types of shows at Transitions. Also about the majority of kids in Tallahassee. There are so many that have been great to us. So much so that we are inspired to move there. Including Brainstorm, Little League, Gorgeous and others. They have a short documentary about their scene. And finally, St. Augustine; Adam and I had been playing the 165 for years. I rode my first triple-decker tall bike at that house and friends that have always been great to us including Andrew Virga/The Cougs, Stiff Bindles, and Charlie Soldana/The Resonants. The good vibes that people give off really mean a lot and for us everyone has been an amazing person that is willing to work together and make a bigger and better community. Even though it’s probably not nearly as utopian as I make it out to be on the inside. That doesn’t really matter does it? It makes us dream and it motivates us to make our town better. Explanation: This song is about the life of a coal miner. West Virginia is a very close neighbor and we live at the foot of the Appalachian mountains. Therefore, we have a close connection to both the miners and the practice of mountain top removal mining. Many of the miners themselves disagree with the practice because, like myself, feel a part of the mountains and can’t stand seeing them disassembled. Warcry - How confident we have become as we bare witness to these false flags and smoke and mirror conspiracies. I wish you'd wake up please. We realize the motivation behind the digital bombardment and exile from nature is to drag us further from ourselves and closer to our graves (while we deposit as much interest as possible along the way) But, we fail to implement the key to victory they start with your wallet and ends with collective communities.

We'll watch the buildings crumble and the roads corrode from our rocking chairs with the scent of flames extinguished by the fresh herbs growing at our feet. We'll hang above the floods in our hammocks and pick fruit straight from the trees. Using cash as kindling our savings are in seed. Unity with this earth means becoming a part of its system not just a resourceful outsider. Unity with this earth means becoming a part of its system not just a respectful outsider... Food not lawns. Organic permaculture not toxic agriculture. Community not consumerism. Sustainably it survival. Pesticides and herbicides are slow forms of suicide. Freedom starts with sowing your seeds.
Explanation: Our earth is dying and we have a hard time trying to remember our bags for the grocery store, we buy fuel and burn it all over the country, we hate corporatism, but have a hard time surviving out of its rule. With toxic agriculture and peak oil on our horizon; is the collapse coming? And even if it isn’t; is trying to be a steward to our earth really that complicated (or offensive)? It’s okay to break down socialized needs and begin to grow in your relationship with the earth by growing a garden. The change will become natural.
These are lyrics I wrote hypocritically enough on an airplane ride back from Moab, Utah. I spent some time camping, hiking and riding out there with Kerri. There is something about the desert that makes me very philosophical. I spent a lot of my time relaxing and reflecting on my summer. Half of my summer/spring was spent in a van traveling all over the US. The other half was working in my yard for up to four hours a day; preparing garden beds, weeding, tending soil, making “things” out of broken “stuff” and building a green house. I thought about how revolutionary it is to grow a garden with your friends and live off of the grid. So that became my life-goal. When the collapse happens… we’ll be just fine.
If you are interested in growing a garden it’s rather easy. I suggest creating raised-beds, unless you live out in the country somewhere. The reason I say you should grow using raised beds is because there are many unknown toxins found in our soil. Plus, you don’t know what was put on your “planting grounds” in the past. Whenever I dig into the soil at my house in Greenville, I pick up large pieces of coal and old garbage from the 1950’s. The thing is that with a raised bed you can control what goes into your plants. I’d say the only downfall of having a raised-bed garden is that it has to be watered more often.
But, I have a recommendation for that. Get a hose and put a stopper on the end. Take a nail and hammer and pound small holes all around your hose about half an inch apart. It’s a lot of work, but when you are finished you will have a DIY soaker for your garden. Where you will lay the hose in the garden and turn the water on. The little holes allow just a small amount of water to leak out and into the soil. It’s essential to have when putting fresh transplants into your garden. They need damp soil and will die if they dry out.
My house does not have gutters; therefore, rainwater collection is difficult. The way I solved that problem is by suspending a large tarp in the back yard and putting a hole in the center of it that leads to a barrel. This allows for a great deal of rain water to flow into a barrel. It’s pretty ugly, but it gets the job done.
Planting a garden is an exercise in sustainability, creativity and problem solving. Keep it organic. Kill the ants with boiling water (pour it until you get the queen). Stop the aphids with Doctor Bronner’s soap in a spray bottle. Sprinkle corn meal all around because it explodes any pests that may eat it. Think twice before squishing bugs because they may be good for the garden. Compost what you don’t use, just make a big pile in an open space. Make sure the sun hits it and you don’t add anything that is not a fruit or vegetable.
Do you know what a “sweet gum ball” is? If not, they are the little spikey balls that fall off sweet gum trees. They are the perfect mulch because many critters won’t crawl over them to get to your veggies. Hay and leaf mold (leaves from the fall) will suffice. Mulching your garden saves water too!
You can harvest some plants continuously throughout your growing season like all the varieties of greens and tomatoes. Just pull of the leaves or fruits that are ready to eat and they will keep coming back throughout the season.
Gardening is something you learn by doing. So get busy! Start off huge, dive in over your head. Spend hours in the garden everyday listening to punk rock records.
